Palm Tree Court Resort and Spa …
A few weeks ago I started my search for somewhere to stay to celebrate the end of term. After spending hours on various websites I went to my Facebook page for some inspiration and Palm Tree Court Resort and Spa was mentioned. Having never stayed at Jebel Ali Beach Hotel or their Palm Tree Court Resort, I decided it was time to give it a go. Over the years we have visited many times for sporting events, and apart from a day at the beach we have never actually checked in and stayed over night. So with bags packed we took the huge long journey from Al Barsha to Jebel Ali ….
We arrived at the resort approximately 25 minutes after leaving the house and were welcomed by Islam, who was to take great care of us for the following few days. Check-in was seamless and I was more than delighted when we were informed that we had been upgraded to a Royal Jasmine Junior Suite. The child at this point was practically hyperventilating with excitement, then the golden word was added, the room has a play station As it happens the Suite had more than just a play station, it was absolutely beautiful, and massive! there were two bathrooms both boasted his and hers sinks and the most amazing spa bath which even lit up whilst its water jets gently massaged you. What more could a nine year old want? four swimming pools, and an endless beach along with private access to a members only area possibly? Heaven.
As residents of Royal Jasmine we were given access to a members only lounge, Signatures. Headed by Head Butler Islam and his team we enjoyed complimentary soft drinks and canapes throughout the day, with a happy hour between 6 – 7 pm. We also had exclusive use of a swimming pool, this delighted the water baby no end. Those of you who know us personally know that the two things that this family enjoy are food and swimming pools. Nothing better
Our first afternoon was spent by the pool relaxing into the resort and generally getting a feel for the place. A trip down to the beach was in order and I took a walk round the entire resort, taking in all it had to offer. Palm Tree Court has so much to offer its guests, there is literally too many to list but I will mention, animal corner, cool zone (kids club), a creche for the little ones, horse riding, camel riding, mini golf, grown up golf, a spa, water sports, swimming pools, a shooting club and more! There are also 10 food outlets including Bateaux Dubai, which is located at The Creek.
Our first evening was spent at Shooters which is based at Jebel Ali Shooting Club, I have written a separate review about our experience there which you can find here. The following morning breakfast was being served in both La Fontana and White Orchid so we chose La Fontana, and then White Orchid the following day. The choice in both outlets was amazing, with everything from full English to Asian/Arabic dishes. However my favourite was White Orchid which had a fabulous honeycomb with fresh honey.
Our second day was spent by the pool, later in the day Jackson took us for a ride round the resort and in particular to see the animal corner and the Al Sahra Equestrian Centre. Jebel Ali Beach Hotel like its sister hotel Hatta Fort has always been known for its love of animals. There was a small area where the camels, goats, rabbits and falcon were lovingly looked after, along with a small stable area. The camels were later spotted on the beach where they were giving guests rides.
Evening number two was meant to be spent dining aboard Divaz and experiencing their seafood menu, but we changed this to White Orchid as I am the only one who eats seafood. We had an amazing meal at White Orchid, you can read my review of the evening here. When we left White Orchid we were amazed to see all the peacocks sat on top of the roof, watching their resort and its guests. Don’t be fooled it’s the peacocks that run this outfit along with a very professional and capable team of hospitality professionals.
I can’t tell you in words how much we enjoyed this staycation but I will tell you that the next opportunity we get we will be checking into Palm Tree Court. Hotels in Dubai have basically out priced themselves when it comes to weekend breaks. Not only does Palm Tree Court offer basic bed and breakfast, they have various different packages available including an all inclusive package which ensures there are no hidden surprises when you check out. We returned home totally rejuvenated and ready to tackle the long UAE summer holidays. We, as a family would like to thank everyone at Palm Tree Court and Spa who made our weekend so special. My husband who basically travels most months, and if he is honest doesn’t enjoy these little staycations quite as much as myself and the child do, said it was the best short break he had, and declared next time our visit would be for longer. Thank you
