It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of this Iranian Restaurant which luckily for all of you has two branches at opposite ends of town. Their main branch opened 13 years ago and is based in Rolla, Street Bur Dubai, but the branch I use is in Al Barsha 1, behind the Kebab Rolls Building. At the moment they are running a fabulous Iftar Buffet, including soft drinks for just 48 dhs per person. I have been four times already, I love the food and it is a great way to try out different Iranian dishes.
The buffet table is big but not too big that you feel overwhelmed. The buffet changes daily but some things are the same, like the koubideh. The fast is broken with a glass of juice and the the first basket of freshly baked bread arrives and it’s time to try the vegetable soup (changes daily). You can also find Aash, a rich soup with chick peas, vegetables and beans.
Onto the main buffet and there is two types of rice available, some french fries with grilled tomatoes and onions. There is a great selection of various kebab’s, including chicken tikka, koubideh, and meat marinated in yogurt. There is also two stews to choose from each day as well, things like Lamb and Okra or Eggplant, always delicious. Aside this there is a super salad bar with plenty of choice.
Iftar is finished off with a selection of Iranian sweets and a dessert dish and a selection of fruit, followed by a glass of Iranian tea 🙂 I have to say I am going to be really disappointed when Ramadan finishes!! Luckily Caspian do hold a buffet lunch each weekend, you can find my review of that here.
Finally I just have to say that Hamid and his team of staff are some of the nicest guys I have met, they make everyone feel so welcome, keep up the good work!!
The Iftar Buffet is 48 dhs per person, inclusive of water and juice to break your fast. You can call them on 04-323 7371 (Al Barsha) and 04- 355 9997 (Bur Dubai). You can find some more photo’s on my Facebook page
