Golden Fork, the seafood mixed grill …
If you have lived in Dubai for any length of time you will be familiar with the biggest chain of restaurants currently in UAE, yes Golden Fork. There are 19 outlets in the UAE and they can be found in 6 of our 7 Emirates. Luckily for me the most recent one opened in Al Barsha, and the twitterati were telling me there seafood is good ….
It was raining and the husband was at the Golf so Mitten and I decided to have lunch at Golden Fork. First impressions are the place is clean, it should be it is brand new. It’s not my first time for dining in Golden Fork we used the Satwa branch for many years when we lived at that end of town. Every diner receives a complimentary bowl of soup and a huge slice of toasted bread, I knew this of old so declined it before it even got to the table. Today I knew what I was having, the crab and sweetcorn soup followed by the seafood mixed grill.
The service was appalling, we had to chase up every course, bit disappointing really considering there were only a few tables occupied. The soup when it arrived was fabulous, I needed heating up in this weather! Very few people realise that Golden Fork pride themselves on their fast selection of seafood. Nestled at the back of the restaurant is a chiller full of iced fresh seafood so I was rather excited about my mixed seafood grill. It was great!! a plate of fish, squid rings, a small lobster tail, one reasonably sized mussel and a king prawn along with a whole teeny crab, accompanied with fries and the legendary carrots and peas, which we all know our frozen but are one of Golden Fork’s trade marks
Golden Fork are literally all over the UAE, you can find a list of locations via their website, there is something for everyone at Golden Fork, and you can’t complain about their pricing structure, just go with an open mind and you will enjoy your dining experience

Golden Fork has been in our lives from the time we started living in Dubai – small budget, big budget and for all the budgets in between. They have opened one in Marina as well… prices differ though. Trustworthy and always satisfying without making a hole in the pocket:)
didn’t realise they were in the marina as well, always busy
Service is the only let down with the chain, stay clear of the arabic grills too, the pancit they serve goes very well with the seafood mixed grill
