Burj Al Hamam hits Mall of the Emirates …
I noticed it a few weeks back, but what caught my eye was the icy fish counter nestled right at the back of the restaurant. I made a mental note to visit during February as this month is seafood month on the site. Yesterday along with a couple of friends we headed to Mall of the Emirates to check out the famed Lebanese eatery Burj Al Hamam. Burj Al Hamam has been trading in the Middle East for over 40 years but only recently has it come to the UAE, however their website gives no mention of their presence here but I was reliably informed that they also have a branches in Dubai Mall, Festival City, Marina Mall, and Jumeirah Beach Road. First impressions are good, the restaurant is big and airy and very blingy, typically Lebanese I would say.
Onto the food I ordered the grilled fillet of hammour, my friends opted for the kabab bil laban and the kabab orfali, along with a side portion of tabbouleh and a portion of battata harra. You can also select fish by the kilo to be cooked in any style you prefer. A lot of restaurants these days are going down the more sustainable fish route and not serving hammour as recommended by Choose Wisely, but it was on the menu and I was going to try it. It was a lovely fillet and very tasty served with a mound of rice and a tasty pine nut dressing. Both my friends were more than happy with their kebabs as well and the side dish of battata harra was fabulous. I would just say though that I did find it a bit on the pricey side, the hammour was 90 dhs and the kebabs 62 dhs. We all know that these days fine dining has arrived in our Malls but this wasn’t fine dining it was just good Lebanese food. If you like Lebanese food and happen to be in Mall of the Emirates, give it a try, I really enjoyed it and would definitely re-visit.
As I said previously there are branches in Mall of the Emirates, Festival City, Dubai Mall, Marina Mall and Beach Plaza Centre on the Beach Road. You can find out more information via their website, and I have added more photos to my Facebook page too, don’t forget to hit the like button

Will give it a go as I don’t trust meat like I used to do an keen to sample more seafood. A while since I’ve had hammour and worth that bit extra if the quality is there.
Thanks for the head up!
