Palm Court offers an amazing Afternoon Tea
As most of you are aware I am a huge fan of Jumeirah Beach Hotel, it goes back to sitting on the beach many moons ago watching them build it. I have visited Palm Court many times but never to experience their Afternoon Tea. We were having a mini celebration so The Geordie One and I headed down to Palm Court to try it out 🙂
We arrived at the lobby lounge of Jumeirah Beach Hotel at about 3 pm, you can’t book in advance but we were lucky and were able to get a table outside. The weather was absolutely perfect and we wasted no time ordering our afternoon tea. We went for the basic experience at just 140 AED for two. Described as an assortment of gourmet sandwiches, selection of house made scones with clotted cream, strawberry jam and a selection of home-made pastries. Served with a hot pot of tea or freshly ground coffee.
As you will see from the photo below we were not disappointed, six scones, 8 mini sandwiches and 8 pastries!! The scones were fabulous with a choice of plain, fruit and wait for it …. chocolate! first afternoon tea I have ever had with chocolate scones. All the food was outstanding. I expected no less from Jumeirah. Perfection right down to the shape of the cake stand. They also have a luxury afternoon tea which includes a glass of champers at 410 AED for two and an Arabic afternoon tea with assorted Arabic pastries served with Moroccan tea or Turkish coffee also at 140 AED for two. Safe to say something for everyone at Palm Court. The Manager and his team are more than attentive but not in an intrusive way, we will be back 🙂
Palm Court is situated in the Lobby Lounge of Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the afternoon tea is available 7 days a week from 1 pm til 7 pm. You can find Jumeirah Beach Hotel on Facebook and also on Twitter.
